Red Tribal Kilim Runner

W:75cm H:240cm

This long and lovely fair trade runner brightens up an entrance hall or landing with ease and on budget – and its warm and vibrant colours look great on wooden floors and pale carpets alike. Handmade for Myakka in India, the kilim runner uses natural materials, traditional techniques and ancient symbolic patterns - the stripes express a desire for harmony and the leggy triangles or Pitrak were held to infer abundance and protection. Woven on a flatbed loom which creates a tight weave and low profile, the runner is made from 80% wool, 20% cotton - a blend that gives a firm, nubbly texture and is extremely hardwearing. And of course, each is unique - but all are GoodWeave accredited. GoodWeave is a charity working to end child labour in worldwide supply chains.

Matching area rug, cushion & footstool also available.

Please note that due to the natural dyes and handmade nature of this product, colours will be affected by direct sunlight. Being individually handmade, colour, designs and dimensions may vary slightly making each one a unique purchase.

Care

80% wool / 20% cotton. Dry clean or vacuum & spot clean.
