The vibrant spice-route colours and traditional kilim patterns have made our Kashi runner a Myakka favourite. And, did you know, its diamond patterns are derived from the eye motif and held to symbolise protection by warding off the evil eye! Handmade using traditional techniques in northern India, the flat-weave runner is woven from 80% fine wool and 20% cotton. The texture is tight woven, the feel soft and fibrous, and the durability is excellent – so the runner is more than fit for purpose in a busy hallway or on a landing. We have rectangular area rugs and cushions to match, so you can continue these lovely patterns and colours through a number of rooms. Each a unique hand-loomed piece, the runner is fairly traded and GoodWeave certified (GoodWeave are campaigning to end child labour in global supply chains).
Please note that due to the natural dyes and handmade nature of this product, colours will be affected by direct sunlight. Being individually handmade, colour, designs and dimensions may vary slightly making each one a unique purchase.
